| ROPE-A-DOPE Definition: A boxing tactic of pretending to be trapped against the ropes, goading an opponent to throw tiring ineffective punches. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (see definition). 2. Movement by the tactician around ring will be along ropes. 3. Distance between body and opponent's fist considered safe. 4. Senses, especially that of sight, are fully working, in excellent order. SWIFT, ALERT, SHARP, TEASE, BRAVE. A reaction, if need be, will be quick, and duration would be long with no advantage. 5. Prepared, ready to take advantage of opponent's tiredness. 6. Achieves objective(s), exactly as rehearsed & planned for. 7.
