| COUNTERFACTUAL THINKING Definition: A concept in psychology that involves the human tendency to create possible alternatives to life events that have already occurred: something that is contrary to what actually happened. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Believed purposeful and necessary (connect to #9), especially when loss suffered is realized. 2. Conception, or imagining, will be ongoing, but only while 'thinker' is in a proper frame of mind. 3.
