| BABY-SITTING Definition: The act of mounting guard over a baby in order to relieve the usual attendant. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, as decided by parents of baby. 2. Baby is in excellent condition of health (to emphasize). That is not a baby that should be in a clinic or hospital. 3. Babysitter ensures that the tot is in sight at all times. 4. No displacement activity is being undertaken at this time, by who is expected to be fully focussed on the little tot. 5. Activity being done, if any, deemed bearable for the tot. 6. Continues or lasts for as long as the usual attendant is not back to resume looking after and/or caring for the baby. 7. Serves purpose(s) or achieves objective(s), as hoped for. 8.
