| BREVITY (1) Definition: (formal) The quality of using few words when speaking or writing. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements should be in. 1. Purposeful. _____________________ NOT TACITURNITY. Quote: "Never be so brief as to become obscure". - Tyron Edwards. 2. Necessity or justified/justifiable, in the opinion of speaker/writer to use fewer words. That is, more words can be used but consideration of time, listener's/reader's intellect, etc. makes this unnecessary. ____________________ NOT STUTTERING.
