Definition: The quality of being guiltless (free from crime: innocent).

1. Who is without guilt has no plan or intention to do the particular thing that he or she could have been 'convicted' for.

2. The free person is surely not an accessory before or cannot be an accessory after the committing of the crime.

3. Being without guilt can be proved - not just some utterance - that is, evidence, alibi, etc. can be provided.

4. Who is free and acclaimed as good has no conscience worry or memory loss, when asked to tell his story.

5. The innocent had been thoroughly and conclusively investigated and gave full cooperation therein.

6. Being without guilt, after a trial, does not arise from miscarriage of justice, hung jury, etc.
