| AFRICANISM Definition: An African characteristic. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eleven elements would be in. 1. Adept at blaming others - colonial masters, past rulers, external influence, etc. - for backwardness. 2. Usual engagement or involvement will be in the mundane - playing, as in having 'fun', dancing, teasing, etc. 3. Very good at talking, praying, speaking, debating, discussing, lecturing, etc., though poor in doing or acting. 4. Always seeks, if the chance presents itself, to create his/her own empire so as to dominate an environment or a space. 6. Desires to hold on to a political office or a privileged position for an unnecessarily long duration or tenure. 7. Generally timid or docile in relation to leadership blunders - can tolerate or condone corruption and/or mismanagement. 8. Resting on oars, if any, thinks of only here and now, giving little or no time to reading (research) or learning (development). 9. Competing with fellow Africans with the intention of becoming the 'lord and master' within a locality or around the continent. 10. Kowtows to a person of so-called superior race - white-skinned - during activities involving members of the international community. 11.
