Transactional analysis
TRANSACTIONAL ANALYSIS

Definition: (psychology) A form of group therapy based on three positions or roles (child, adult, parent), and six types of transactions (work, intimacy, etc.) carried on as 'games' in which subjects alternately assumes roles in order to provide outlets for undesired responses; developed by American psychologist Eric Berne (1910-1970).
