| BOYCOTT (2) Definitions: i. [ ~ of/on something ] An act of boycotting somebody/something. ii. The act of boycotting (= joining with others in refusing to have any dealings with some other individual or group; [in commerce] stop the patronage of a product in a market by united action.) ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven or eight elements, as applicable, would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, in the opinion of who refuses. 2. The extent, total or partial, will be as collectively agreed. 3. Adequate or reasonable alternative(s) will be available. 4. Person(s) 'ostracized' or seller(s) abandoned will suffer a loss. 5. The act cannot be legislated against or ruled as illegal. 6. Continues or lasts for as long as wanted by those acting in unison. 7. Act achieves objective(s), whatever this/these is/are. 8.
