| ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND Definitions: i. (British English) An area where children can play, with large structures, ropes, etc. for climbing on. ii. An area of land for children to play in, usually in cities or in a park. It has wooden structures and equipment such as ropes, nets and rubber tyres. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to have area for children's fun times. 2. Specific and identifiable, measurable and/or assessable. And with adequate spaces and facilities for the number of children that will be expected to use place. That is, no 'fight' amongst children, as a result of a 'shortage', before play. 3. Safe and secured, protected and guarded physically. 4. Easily accessible and reachable. And not fee-paying ! 5. Structures are very well-built and equipment all serviceable and therefore functioning excellently. 6. Management, administration and control will be in competent hands. 7. Usable for period desired by children, subject to parental or guardian control. 8. Structures and equipment will all be very clean and neat, especially before children get in or on the facilities. 9.
