| BOTCH (1) Definitions: i. (British English, informal) A piece of work or a job that has been done badly. ii. (phrasal verb) If you botch something that you are doing, you do it badly or clumsily. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Not deliberate or planned for thing to be badly or clumsily done. 2. Inexcusable as what was needed to do thing well was available. 3. Efforts put in would be claimed to be the maximum possible. 4. Loss or losses will be suffered as a direct result of situation. 5. Reason(s) for the bad performance can be found out. (To emphasize.) 6. No commendation, award, etc. will be erroneously given for trash. 7. No chance or opportunity will be provided to redo or retry thing. 8. You learn a lesson from situation and will, therefore, be able to correctly do thing another time, all other things being equal. 9.
