| BOOMERANG (2) Definition: An argument or idea which rebounds and harms the originator. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Meant to initially confer an advantage for the originator, over another party or other parties. 2. Was not thought likely to be unacceptable or go terribly wrong and rebounding to become harmful. 3. A safety net could have been put in place, or escape route provided, if there was a sign things would go awry. 4. The party or parties intended to be taken advantage of would get away from danger without an inconvenience. 5. Harm that would occur would be clear for all to see. That is, the rebound will be undeniable, even if a brave face would be put up. 6. The harm and/or resultant loss will be enormous and irrecoverable, resulting in a regret, sorrow, worries, etc. 7. Who suffers harm will not look for a scape goat in the situation or lay blame on the doorstep of some other person(s). 8. Some lessons will be learned as a direct fallout of the harm suffered, especially if argument or idea is not discarded afterwards. 9. Argument or idea will be reviewed and/or the previous methodology or strategy adopted reformed or overhauled, with a view to succeeding another time, if ... . _______________ DEAD DREAMS.
