Pennywise
PENNYWISE

Definition: (usually in the phrase - penny-wise and pound foolish) Sensible in dealing with small sums of money, but reckless or extravagant with larger ones.

1. Prudence is seen as purposeful and necessary, and in fact as the last or the only option available. Therefore, the so-called wise one will be saving, looking for bargains, economizing, etc.

2. Can't be sure of the next provision or source of income or profit, whether employed or unemployed, and whatever the needs and/or wants are, that have to be assuaged or indulged in.

3. Trusting the financial experts and believing economic forecasts churned out by think-tanks, research institutions, etc., leading to carefulness regarding trade and/or 'investment' options.

4. Takes or taking as much time as possible to finally make a payment for goods or services, whichever and whoever money or resources would be spent on, whatever the little sum.

4. No bargaining or haggling before a payment for goods and services is made (where possible). In fact, no thoroughness in the process of conducting purchasing activity.
