Workplace phobia
WORKPLACE PHOBIA

Definitions:

i. A precise or imagined confrontation with the office or certain stimuli at the workplace (e.g. persons, objects, situations, events) causes a prominent anxiety reaction in a person.

ii. Avoidance behaviour in the direction of the workplace or associated stimuli.

iii. In some circumstances, workplace phobia could also be a sort of social phobia or social anxiousness or extreme shyness.

1. Usually thought purposeful and necessary by who is afraid.

2. Location causing dread won't be co-located with living quarters.

3. Place that is not desirable won't be a sole source of income.

4. Symptoms of fear cannot be disguised and/or denied in the condition.

5. Consequence will inevitably be some loss, disadvantage, etc.

6. Person(s), object(s), etc. to be contacted won't be related or owned.

7. No forgetfulness, memory loss, shut out, selective amnesia, etc.

8. The prevailing problems are specific and identifiable, measurable and/or assessable.

9. Treatment will be available in the situation, with no decline in productivity thereafter.
