| RENT STRIKE Definition: A protest action (as against lack of services) by tenants by withholding rents or placing the rent in a special fund, such rents to be paid upon the landlord's compliance with tenants' demands. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary in the tenants' opinion. 2. Landlord isn't taken by surprise (connect to #3). 3. Demands were made known immediately after last payments were made. 4. The law and/or agreement - tenancy agreement - permits the method. 5. None of those striking will be expected to be a landlord/landlady. 6. The services lacking are not being personally provided by tenants. 7. Management of fund won't earn the landlord a loss. 8.
