| MOURNING (3) Definition: The customary period during which a dead person is mourned. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, especially for the bereaved, as determined by local culture and/or tradition. 2. Duration will be fixed and also specific and identifiable. Believed adequate and tolerable for the mourner, especially if relationship was close and cherished when the deceased was alive. 5.
