Definition: (law) An application to a judge or court for a decision, ruling, order, etc.

3. Fulfils all the conditions stipulated by court's procedures.

6. Consultation would have been held with plaintiff/respondent.

7. Heard. That is, gets a consideration by a judge or the court.

8. There will be a preparedness or readiness to deal with outcome.
