BLIND ALLEY (1)

Definitions:

i. A way of doing something that seems useful at first, but does not produce useful results, like following a path that suddenly stops.

ii. If you describe a situation as a blind alley, you mean that progress is not possible or that the situation can have no useful results.

1. Development and advancement (= progress) or worthiness and purposefulness (= usefulness) was initially sought or desired.

2. Effort, assistance, support, etc. thought necessary to achieve purpose and meaning was provided or made available, even as these will turn out to be inadequate or inappropriate.

3. Nothing will be prevented from being accessed or assessed, and no disguise in situation to serve as an excuse. That is, there will be no bemusement or hidden agenda. In other words, there will be no sense in making an attempt or trying, a second time or again.

4. Reality or situation will be known or arrived at in good time: implying that precious moments and scarce resources will not be expended or spent at/on location or event, process or procedure, etc.

5. Some loss, disadvantage, inconvenience or disruption, etc. will be suffered from or in situation, be this immediately or at a later time.

6. Former position or circumstance can be returned to. Or stage that thing is developed to can still be beneficial in some other way that was not originally intended.
