| MISPLAY Definition: (sports) An instance of misplaying (playing wrongly or badly). ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Player is in seemingly excellent physical state. 2. There was a level-playing field in respect of rules, etc. 3. Wrongness or badness will hand initiative to the opponent, if any. 4. Some serious loss, penalty, defeat will arise as a result. 5. The disadvantage to be suffered can't be made up. 6. Below-par performance will earn the player criticism, rebuke, etc. 7.
