Work-life balance
WORK-LIFE BALANCE

Definition: Your work-life balance is how you organize your days, for example how many hours you spend at work, and how much time you spend with friends or doing things you enjoy.

* All eight elements should be in.

1. Purposeful and necessary - for healthiness, happiness, etc.

2. Planning starts from 'yesterday' or immediately on waking today.

3. Priorities are chosen or prioritization takes place, whatever the consequences of the choices that would be made.

4. The hour(s) that will be available for work and for 'play' will be definite and this/these will be known for sure.

5. There will be a certainty that there would no likelihood of an encroachment on the work hours on those pleasure hours. (Connect to #4, to emphasize.)

6. No emergency or unexpectedness or mystery will happen during the day to cause an unnecessary delay, undesired hesitation, annoying postponement, etc.

7. There will be no variables beyond the control of who makes plan. That is, friends will not go 'AWOL' or be absent, the wherewithal to pursue interest will not be lacking, projected enjoyment will not fail to materialize from what will be done, etc.

8. You are neither a time-server nor a spoilsport such that maximum efforts will not be put into work, and an overkill will not be recorded during 'playtime'.
