| WISE GUY (1) Definitions: i. (informal disapproving, especially North American English) A person who speaks or behaves as if they know more than other people. ii. (informal, disapproving) If you say that someone is a wise guy, you dislike the fact that they think they are very clever and always have an answer for everything. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements would be in. 1. Cannot be made a fool of. That is, no trap can catch him/her to reveal dullness and cause embarrassment. And makes no slip. 2. Able to effectively bluff a way through any 'maze' - gives a satisfactory reply or response to any question or enquiry. 3. Contact or direct engagement is had with this 'Know-all' before an inference, or a conclusion, or the claim is made. 4. Cannot be proved wrong by who is questioning or probing. That is, clearly sharper than who regards the person concerned as wise. 5. Quick to avoid any situation, event, question, etc. that will expose failing or frailty, in such a way that rating is retained. 6.
