| WINDOW DRESSING (2) Definition: (disapproving) The fact of doing or saying something in a way that creates a good impression but does not show the real facts. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and believed necessary, for the window dresser. That is, real facts are known but deliberately withheld. 2. No important breakdown, serious explanation, etc. will be provided to strongly support position or claim. 3. Creation or expression will be sustained for duration desired. 4. Loss, disadvantage, embarrassment, etc. will be initially avoided as a direct outcome or result of the effect(s) had by the impression created. That is, act will serve purpose(s), in the short term. 5. Impression will be eventually exposed as make-believe, but this would be only after goal(s) would have been served. 6. A lesson would be learned from experience, even if 'gain' that accrued from 'lie' is not lost. 7.
