| WHITE FLIGHT Definition: (US) A situation where white people who can afford it go to live outside the cities because they are worried about crimes in city centres. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. There is a solid basis - threat, attack, fear, blackmail, etc. 3. Movement to the outskirts or countryside is effected timely, to help achieve goal(s) (connect to #2). 4. Area moved to is safe, secured and protected from criminals! That is, new vicinity and/or neighbourhood is relatively crime-free. 5. New accommodation is habitable and conducive for the activities that the people relocating will be interested in participating in. 6. Serves purpose(s).
