Purposeful and necessary in the opinion of blackmailer. 2. Information (= secret?) possessed is truly damaging. 3. Anonymous. So, the blackmailer is never found out and the money, therefore, never returned or recovered. 4. Ransom or sum paid was agreed amount (or minimum expected amount). Never less and never more. 5. Benefit or gain (the money!) lasts for as long as envisaged. 6.
