| WHISPERING CAMPAIGN Definition: An attempt to damage somebody's reputation by saying unpleasant things about them and passing this information from person to person. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for who or those who make try. 2. Negative things are never said in the presence, or to the hearing, of intended victim of smear. 3. (Reserved.) (Campaign is not conducted in disregard of a standing legal injunction not to disparage particular person.) 4. Unpleasant information or news are not lies or half-truths. That is, what is circulated is true, not libellous. 5. Questions or enquiries on what is damaging and being spread are not asked or made by listener(s), reader(s), etc. Or a question or an enquiry, where asked or made, will not be not answered or attended to. 6. Stories or tales are unfortunately believed, by each person in the 'murmuring chain' ! (Connect to #7.) 7. Smear campaign lasts or is sustained for a period considered necessary to help achieve goal(s). 8. Loss, embarrassment, etc. is or will be suffered by the person whose reputation is attacked by the 'tales of the unexpected'. And no possibility of being compensated will be available for sufferer.
