| WAR GAME (1) Definition: A practice battle that is used to test military plans and equipment. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eleven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Plans are realistic and equipment are functional. 3. Information, facts, details, etc., especially about the firepower of the 'enemy' forces, if any, are known, completely and correctly. 4. All the relevant and/or necessary phases of war, according to the plans, if applicable, are tested during practice. 5. Supporting logistic cover for exercise are complete, to be able to effectively execute or carry out 'mission'. 6. Personnel are complete. That is, the full strength required for each unit, platoon, etc. is provided during 'mock battles'. 7. The environment and devices (= 'battlefield', computer, etc.) are in excellent condition to conduct practice. 8. Comprehensive wash-up, review, assessment, etc. is conducted after end of practice (connect to #10). 9. Lessons are learned from 'manoeuvres', whether changes or improvements are eventually made or not in the plans or equipment. 10. (Reserved.) (Practice does not result in an excuse to go to war!) 11.
