War (2)
WAR (2)

Definition: A situation in which two or more countries or groups of people fight against each other over a period of time.

* All twelve elements would sadly be in.

1. Purposeful for all the combatants involved, however unreasonable this may seem to the outsiders.

2. Necessity in the opinion of fighters to declare full hostilities. That is, all efforts made to avoid a confrontation were unsuccessful. In other words, fight is seen as the 'last option', especially by the party which attacked first.

INEVITABLE (?)

3. Prepared and planned for. That is, 'madness' was seen coming by recalcitrant parties. And has a legal backing to boot !

4. Declared officially just before the first shot is fired. That is, fight does not start as a 'surprise' attack.
______________________

SENSIBLE (?)

5. The human - military, not civilian - casualties are minimal, in their warped estimation, for all the sides involved.

6. There will be a sure involvement of outside country/countries or external group/groups, by way of financial, material or logistical support, troops contribution (= soldiers of fortune?), etc.

NOT CIVIL AND NOT WAR GAMING!

7. Issue(s) under contention is/are never resolved during the (a) fight, no matter the casualty figures! Even if the (an) enemy surrenders or is annihilated or defeated. (To emphasize.)

8. The immediate environment and ecosystem or the balance of nature in theatre of operations, will be disturbed by the warring activities.

NO RETREAT, NO ...

9. Fight lasts until mediator(s) arrive, however long it takes, before the combatants are 'dragged' to a conference table.

10. Truce, ceasefire, etc., if any, made are respected during talks.
__________________________

NOT WITHOUT END.

11. Issue(s) or matter(s) responsible for fight will be resolved by conciliator(s), peacekeeper(s), etc. to the satisfaction of all parties to the conflict, and an ever-lasting reconciliation secured.

12. Permanent and real peace will be sustained in the region or area and between fighters as a direct result of reconciliation. And there will be no unintended and negative consequences from fighting.

SENSELESS, EVEN IF WINNABLE.
