| VOTE OF THANKS Definition: A short formal speech in which you thank somebody for something and ask other people to join you in thanking them. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Choice of words and method of delivery is appropriate; pleasing, not interpretable as offensive, rude or mocking. 3. Given or made at the right time, at the end of an event. And period of time taken will be truly short, but this will only be in the opinion of the listener(s). 4. Recipient of thanks is present and attentive during speech. 5. Applause, approval, endorsement, etc. is given heartily, by the others present, who are being represented, at the end of speech. 6.
