| VISITING FIREMAN Definition: (American) A visiting fireman is an important visitor, who gets special treatment. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements would be in. 1. Person was invited or gave adequate notice of intention to visit. 2. Arrival and especially reception would be planned and prepared for. 3. Presence and what happens then will be very vital for host/hostess. 4. Person does not come accompanied, either by a pet or someone else. 5. All the stops will be pulled out to entertain or attend to special guest. That is, visitor will be perfectly treated with a vengeance. 6. Will be asked regularly or intermittently about how he or she is doing and whether anything is needed, which will then be provided. 7. Won't be reminded or shown a sign of when to leave or depart, even if he/she ends up vamoosing or leaving so late or at an ungodly hour! 8. Will be seen off, at the end of visit, to the door, park, station, etc. by who gave unique treatment to departing guest. (To emphasize.) 9. An effort to confirm the safe return of guest, by a text, call, an email, etc., will be made afterwards, by who hosted important person. 10. 'Fireman' can be invited again, another time, to visit.
