Definition: The act or process of proving that somebody is not guilty when they have been accused of doing something wrong or illegal.

1. Purposeful and necessary to vindicate particular person.

2. Accuser/accusation (= charge) is present/presented (= confronted).

3. Evidence, details, information, facts, etc. to disprove or dispel the so-called claim(s) (= accusation(s)) is/are provided by defendant.

4. Accuser has adequate time and ample opportunity to challenge or protest, examine and/or cross-examine, etc. whatever evidence is presented by the opponent or a disclaimer.

5. Unfounded allegation or fake claim (= false accusation), in the face of proof and after due processes have been followed, will be recanted, denied, renounced, etc. by who made the (an) earlier frivolous claim(s).

6. New position or declaration will be upheld or adopted legally, formally or officially, as applicable. And this will be complete, total, unconditional.

7. Appropriate follow-up action or pronouncement - discharge and acquittal, apology and restitution, clearance and approval, order for the payment of a levy or fine, etc., etc., as appropriate, is issued by the relevant authority.

8. Act or process achieves objective(s); serves purpose(s).
