| VILLAIN (1) Definition: The main bad character in a story, play, etc. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements would be in. 1. Baddie is a 'target' of the 'good guys'. And looking to inflict damage, injury, etc. on the good guys as well. 2. Will do anything, legal or illegal, shocking or desperate, to have an advantage over the 'enemies'. And will inflict some loss, damage, etc. on opponent(s). 3. Survives for a very long time, in spite of the overwhelming forces that will be arrayed or lined up against it/him/her. 4. Must lose out, in the end, in the story, play, etc., whether killed, jailed, executed, etc. 5. Character is a leader in its/his/her own right! That is, the followers, supporters, fans, accompaniments, etc. will not be totally exterminated! (To emphasize, see definition.) ________________________ the real B-A-D-D-Y. | |
