| VALUE SYSTEM Definition: The value system of a group of people is the set of beliefs and attitudes that they all share. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for the people to have and share values. 2. Built over time and in the people's consciousness; not 'codified'. 3. Beliefs and attitudes will not be of illegalities or immoralities. And should speak to your proper mandate (= goals and aspirations). 4. Visitors, neighbours, partners, if any, will be OK with the values shared by particular group, especially if not similar to their own. 5. System will have a measure of independence and be 'foolproof', with provisions for its flouters or 'rule benders' to be sanctioned. 6. The beliefs will be fixed and attitudes will be consistent, for as long as the people remain and operate as a united group; not warped. 7. System will be reformable or adjustable. That is, values can be reviewed and improved to be better. In other words, there will always be progress for the people as a result of their beliefs and attitudes. 8. System will be thoroughly healthy for all: a family, community, the society/public, lower animals, an ecosystem and the environment. ______________________________ See perfect ATTITUDE (1).
