Definition: (especially British English) How much something is worth compared with its price.

1. Maximum benefit, as designed, expected, promoted, promised, etc. can be obtained from the purchase and proper use of thing.

2. Lifespan of item will be in harmony or will tally with an expectation, in relation to, its use or usage.

3. Price at which product was acquired, procured or bought, hired, rented or engaged, etc. was its real worth - not a rip-off or giveaway !

4. A residual or 'second-hand' value, if applicable, will be as projected, when thing was initially sold/bought, if it is decided to be resold.

5. No unplanned or unforeseen loss occurs or is suffered from the appropriate use of thing, that will require an unplanned expenditure by owner, user, where stored, etc. as applicable.
