| UNSERIOUSNESS Definition: The state or quality of being not serious (= not needing to be thought about carefully, not only for pleasure; treated as important; thinking about things in a sensible, not silly, way). ______________________________________________________________________ * Any one, or a few, or some, or all twelve elements, should be in. 1. Deliberately arranged condition or feature(s). That is, there is the wherewithal to think or treat event, etc. reverently. LETHARGY. 2. Repercussion, consequences, reverberations, etc. of attitude will be known before 'cheap' action is attempted or taken. CLOWNERY. 3. Warning(s), or caution, or appeal to change will not be heeded by who acts in a way considered, by another, as unreasonable. TOMFOOLERY. 4. Unwillingness to learn and to be taken more seriously will be very obvious, either in voluntary actions or by inaction. PLAY-ACTING. 5. Some sort of self-satisfaction will be obtained by 'the joker(s)', from the prevailing circumstances or a (the) 'failure'. GRANDIOSITY. 6. Efforts will be made to justify position or stance, or an excuse will be offered in defence of what is done or not done. PERFUNCTORY. 7. Punishment or sanction that might accompany poor showing will have no meaning or effect on who is adjudged as not serious. COD'S WALLOP. 8. 'Jokes' lasts for only a period that would be thought tolerable, won't put the person's reputation, career, etc. at risk. NONCHALANCE. 9. Regrets will later be had, even if this is not openly admitted, as some loss will arise as a direct fallout of 'easiness'. LACKADAISICAL. 10. Fate or the elements of nature will not intervene during period such that an advancing failure will turn out a success. MEGALOMANIA. 11. Nothing beneficial will be gained, and no lesson 'taught' in the course of being not serious with doings (connect to #9). TIME-WASTING. 12.
