Thing is not strictly considered as an impossibility, improbability, unlikelihood, etc. 2. Thing was not dreamed of, not prepared for, not hinted about; not seen or visible on 'the radar'. 3. Appropriate reaction or response to thing, as would have been desired, is not or would not be able to be provided during the occasion (to emphasize). 4. Impact or effect, influence or lesson, of/from/in thing is serious, whether a loss or gain is secured therefrom. 5.
