| UNDERDOG (1) Definition: (usually - the underdog) A person, team, country, etc. that is thought to be in a weaker position than others and therefore not likely to be successful, win a competition, etc. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Has no strength or ability to succeed or win. Or his/her/its strength or ability has not been discovered, harnessed, etc. 2. Expectation can or would be backed by bets which would have been taken or placed on person, team, etc. failing. 3. Person, etc. will be limited or restricted in preparation and/or readiness, as a result of insufficient ability. 4. Person, team, etc. will not be able or be allowed to get an assistance - external, illegal support - in pursuit of goal(s). 5. Will put in best efforts in trying to achieve objective(s). 6. Will usually have a rousing support, provided by the non-aligned. That is, neutral members of the society, organization, etc. will generally be hoping that person, team, country, etc. succeeds or wins. 7. Will not disappoint! That is, the person, team, country, etc. will not succeed or win!! (Connect to #3 & #4.). 8.
