UNCONSCIOUS (1)

Definition: (usually - the unconscious) (psychology) The part of a person's mind with thoughts, feelings, etc. that they are not aware of and cannot control but which can sometimes be understood by studying their behaviour or dreams.

1. Purposeful, even if believed irrelevant.

2. Specific and identifiable, even if arduous to locate.

3. Measurable and/or assessable, no matter how difficult.

4. Accessible and can respond or be responsive, whether predictably and/or even if or when it is 'dormant'.

5. Does not or should not ordinarily result in a loss, embarrassment, delay, etc. for person concerned.

6. Part is never truly 'unconscious'. That is, this part of the human mind is usually 'alive and well'.
