| TURNAROUND (1) Definition: The amount of time it takes to unload a ship or plane at the end of one journey and load it again for the next one. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements would be in. 1. Unloading commenced timely - after ship or plane has come to a complete berth/stop and unloading authorized. 2. Workers or employees due or expected to perform task are complete. 3. The speed or rate of lifting, removing, carrying, etc. loads is normal, routine or usual. That is, no emergency or hurry to finish task within a particular time limit. 4. No single item will be forgotten during unloading or loading. 5. Hatch is locked and loading is confirmed completed, after end of loading, whether or not the ship or plane sails or takes off immediately afterwards. _____________________________________________ MINUTES OR HOURS OR DAYS AND ...
