| TOUGHIE (2) Definition: (informal) A very difficult choice or question. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, especially if particular choice or question is deliberately presented or asked. 2. Matter/issue, proposal/option, etc. that choice or question is based on, is believed understandable or understood by who faces task. 3. Expectation is that who is faced with situation should be able to make a right choice or give the right answer. 4. Choice must be made or question must be answered. That is, situation is unavoidable. 5. A loss, sanction, embarrassment, etc. will be suffered if choice is not made or if question is left unanswered. 6. Will use up some energy and resources while it lasts, by way of the time that will be spent on research, consultation, thinking, etc. 7. End result of situation, whether or not a right choice or answer is made or given, will have an enormous impact on who faces challenge. ______________ * FOR REAL ! | |
