| TODDLER Definitions: i. A child who has only recently learnt to walk. ii. Child beginning to walk. iii. A child who has just learned to walk. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for young child. 2. Healthy and fit, energetic and active. 3. Anxious to trot or looking forward to running soon. 4. His or her legs are strong enough for his/her weight. 5. Never really excited when seated, backed, carried, in a pram or buggy, etc. without a justification, in his or her opinion (when he/she can readily and happily walk!). 6. (Reserved.) (Will not lose the ability to move the legs in the future, especially if this will arise from an illness, accident, etc.) 7. Constantly being watched over by an adult or older child, who is mobile and child-loving. That is, child will not 'totter' to where he or she is not permitted to walk. 8. Hyperactivity resulting from newly acquired ability will not make child skip a deserved rest, sleep, meal, etc. That is, walk or walking will bring no unplanned loss. ___________________________ ..
