Definitions:

i. (North American English) A short period of rest during a sports game.

ii. A time when a team can call a stop to the game for a few minutes in order to rest and discuss how they are going to play.

7. Lasts for period of time desired but without encroaching on playing time, whatever the outcome of session.

8. Serves purpose(s) or achieves objective(s).
