TIME-SERVER

Definition: (disapproving) A person who does as little work as possible in their job because they are just waiting until they leave for another job or retire.

* All seven elements should be in.


1. Person has a purpose and thinks it necessary.

2. Never admits that he or she is time-serving, in relation to the amount of work being done.

3. The little work done is properly and timely executed.

4. Has a certainty that a new employment has already been secured or serious positive search for a new job is on. Or due retirement date cannot be postponed or delayed.

5. Gets full pay for work done, even if a query is received for the inadequacy in the amount of effort or labour put in.

6. Achieves objective(s), as exactly hoped for, without an initial regret (connect to #7).

7. Person or employee will not return to same job after initial resignation and will not be employed on a contract basis in same organization or company after 'so-called' retirement.
