Unprepared for, unexpected, especially in its magnitude - even if the cause(s) of fear was/were forecasted or foreseen. 2. Mood that it will bring about will not be one in which a positive thought, exploration, action, discovery, etc., can take place. 3. Source(s) of feeling will be specific and identifiable. 4. Reason(s) for extremity will be measurable and/or assessable. 5. Outcome or end result of feeling will be a monumental loss, even if this is not immediately recognizable. And there will be a certainty about this. 6. The wherewithal, to confront or to try to ameliorate or overcome the feeling, will not be possessed. 7. Feeling negatively affects attitude and confidence, preparations and/or readiness, progress or growth, etc., etc. 8. Feeling will be inescapable, whatever pretense may be put up by person or animal experiencing an extremity of fearful emotion. 9.
