TEMPTER

Definition: A person who tries to persuade somebody to do something, especially something bad or wrong.

1. Has a purpose and considers it necessary to tempt.

2. Knows fully well that thing that another is being urged to do is bad or wrong. But never tells or admits same to victim-to-be.

3. Expects a sort of gain if and when thing is done. And/or will suffer no loss, if thing is left undone.

4. Methods adopted to ensure persuasion - assurance, promise, pledges, etc. - are legal and appropriate. And will not involve a lie, trickery, etc.

5. Does not put himself or herself in (increased) danger or at (additional) risk.

6. Offers 'goodies' for free. That is, persuasion does not include asking the other party to pay a 'price' before doing thing. And effort that will need to put into thing, for it to start, will be the barest or minimal.

7. Never gives up. And never applies force or a form of physicality to try to achieve aim(s).

8. ('Devil') ... will succeed, however long it will take, especially if effort is no cakewalk.
