TEMPTATION (1)

Definition: The desire to do or have something that you know is bad or wrong.

1. Thing is assumed purposeful and considered a necessity to do or have.

2. The thing will not go away and is indestructible.

3. Desire will not disappear and cannot be easily suppressed.

4. Some gain, benefit, profit, etc., even if temporary, is believed available, in the opinion of the person tempted, if bad or wrong thing is done or had.

5. Thing will strictly not be an illegal action or possession. That is, punishment, sanction, etc. will not ordinarily be suffered as a result of wish or desire.

6. Desire will clash with a strong inner voice of reason, caution, restraint, warning, etc.

7. Thing waits, and waits, and desire is on and on, ... must be addressed. That is, desire will be pursued - until abandoned or followed to its logical end - or given up before the commencement of 'the fight'.

8. End result of thing will be eventually negative, unprofitable, in spite of initial expectation, whether this is known from the beginning or not.
