| SURVIVAL GUILT Definition: (informal) The feeling which is got by a person who misses death while another person or other persons, with whom they would have been in the same situation, who become less fortunate die. ______________________________________________________________________ * All twelve elements would be in. 1. Unavoidable. That is, no black out or bravado occurs in situation. 2. The individual could not have done a thing to escape Grim Reaper. 3. Arises some time soon after realization of a lucky escape dawns. 4. Can't celebrate great, even though happy and cannot act normal. 5. Causes or leads to a change of heart or brings a rethink concerning relationship with, or the existence of, God or guardian angel. 6. Engenders a connection and togetherness with other persons, while an appreciation of fallibility and humanity develops stronger after. 7. The dead will be familiar, to escapee, or believed identifiable. 8. Death was not by killing or assassination, but was an act of God. 9. Memory or legacy (?) of the dead will be respected by lucky one. 10. Lasts for a 'short' period of time, without having self-loathing (guilt complex) or some psychological problem (attempted suicide). 11. Person will eventually make the best of a second chance at life. That is, he or she will be back, alive again, after showing fortitude. 12. (Reserved.)
