| SUPERVISION Definitions: i. The state of being responsible and making sure that something is done correctly, safely, etc. ii. An act or process of superintending (work or the person doing it). ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Authorized and/or approved. 3. Person(s) with responsibility knows the standard or quality, measure or range, level or quantity of goodness, security, etc. needed or desired. 4. Person(s) superintending has/have the authority to issue orders and ensure compliance with the instructions that would be given. 5. Ability or capability to practically effect a change, amendment, correction, etc. is possessed by the supervisor(s). That is, the person(s) will be hands-on official(s), worker(s), etc., if need be. 6. Takes place at the right times or periods and continues for a duration that will be considered appropriate. 7. No unplanned loss, damage, destruction, etc. arises as a direct outcome of supervising something/somebody. 8.
