| SUBCONTRACTING Definition: The action of contracting a person or company to do some of the work that you have been given a contract to do. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Bidding by interested person(s) or company/companies takes place. 3. Selection of bid winner, the subcontractor, is made transparently, after due processes of advertisement and submission, defence of bids, provision of bank guarantee, etc., as applicable, have been fully observed or strictly followed. 4. Mobilization, that is, payment of some money, to commence work, if in the agreement, is promptly ensured. 5. Some reasonable measure of monitoring or supervision, by the main contractor (= you!) takes place while contract is subsisting. 6. Action achieves objective(s), as exactly hoped for.
