| STUDENTS' UNION (2) Definitions: i. (British English) An association of students at a particular university or college, concerned with students' rights, living conditions, etc. ii. (British) The students' union is the students organization in a university or college which organizes leisure activities, provides welfare services and represents students' political interests. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to have representative body. 2. Recognized, registered properly by the authority of institution. 3. Its executive or union government will be elected or selected according to the rules and regulations of the group. 4. Well-funded, needing no financing from unauthorized parties. 5. Administered or managed properly by the executive, who have a specific mandate and clear programmes to carry out during period. 6. Its activities will not jeopardize the members' academic pursuits. 7. Membership will be open to all the students of the institution. 8. Complies with all the rules and regulations of the institution. And will not commit an illegality or break any law in the course of organizing activities or protecting its members' interests. 9.
