| STERILIZATION (1) Definition: The act of killing the bacteria in or on something. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Presence of bacteria is confirmed. 3. Bacteria is located and isolated. That is, thing with bacteria is completely 'secured' and prepared for required treatment. 4. Substance(s) needed to kill bacteria is/are applied. Or item(s) with bacteria is/are submerged in the right substance(s) and for duration required. 5. Act is done and completed promptly, before bacteria is able to cause a serious irreversible damage or destruction. 6. Act will not render thing that bacteria is in or on useless or worthless. That is, extent of substance applied is adequate and therefore will have no undesired effect or cause an unplanned loss. 7. No after-effect or fallout will arise from the act, especially in respect of the stability of the environment (the surroundings) or balance of an ecosystem (an immediate vicinity). 8.
