| STEREOTYPE (1) Definition: A fixed idea or image that many people have of a particular type of person or thing, but which is often not true in reality. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. The nature, features, components, etc. of the particular person or thing is/are specific and identifiable. 2. The details of the person or a thing possessed, based upon which some wrong conclusion is reached, are complete. 3. Quality that exists or is present is measurable and/or assessable. That is, no restriction of access to person or thing will exists in the situation. In other words, person or thing will be available to be questioned, examined, etc., if desired. 4. Characteristics or ingredients that exists will be present for a considerable duration to have an impact on 'understanding', be it either an 'appreciation' or 'condemnation' of person or thing. 5. Person or thing does nothing to dispel wrongly held idea or image. Or attempts that may be made to have others have the truth or real version will be inconclusive or considered inadequate. 6. Who or what a fixed idea or image is had of, will generally suffer a loss, disadvantage, embarrassment, etc. as a result of false beliefs, even if this will be slight and only be in the long run. __________________________________ See perfect PERCEPTION (3).
